The great parks of the north
The Serengeti National Park
Commonly called "Siringeti" in the original Maasai language, meaning "endless plains", this park is the second largest in Tanzania with its 14763km².
It is also the one where the animal concentration is the densest in Africa: we find there the famous Big Five and many other species of game, hyenas, wild dogs, hippos,...
This park deserves that we linger a few days to have time to criss-cross it.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area
This exceptional site (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is an ancient volcano that collapsed on itself, creating a large caldera, a veritable Garden of Eden. The crater massif and its vegetation count more than 25,000 different species.
Tarangire National Park
Tarangire Park is also called the Elephant Sanctuary for the large number of elephants it is home to. Criss-cross the red dirt tracks, follow the Tarangire River, marvel at the splendid landscapes and baobab trees.
Lake Manyara National Park
This park lists more than 505 species of birds. In the tropical forests of the northern regions of the park, you can see all kinds of birds, monkeys, antelopes, ostriches, zebras, etc. roaming the trees.
